More Details On The Rumoured BMW M1, Or 1-Series SuperSport
Miscellaneous, Rumours | Dean | December 11, 2009 at 01:35The long-rumoured BMW 135 SuperSport might actually come to production. The supposed high-performance 1-Series will be slightly shorter than the Mitsubishi Evo X, however it will have a lot, and we mean, a lot more horsepower.
This model is often referred to as the M1, and it will go on display in Dubai next week.
There will be a 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine with about 400-horsepower and 370lb-ft of torque. The engine will send power to the road through a seven-speed automatic box.
There will be rear wheel drive, and a weight of about 1,400 kilograms.
“M Division should have its own supercar built in three years,” a BMW source told EVO Magazine in response to a question about the Dubai car. “We need to sell some cars first. That’s why the 1-series M-car is the higher priority.”
This should arrive in 2011.
