South Africa Gets The Mercedes-Benz M-Class Sport Package

Mercedes-Benz has added a new Sport styling package to the Mercedes-Benz M-Class. The new package will boast funny strips here and there, a bit of chrome and even a set of new wheels, in a size of 20-inches. The inside will boast an ‘athletic impression’ along with new Alcantara leather upholstery.

The engine will be a V6 and V8 petrol or diesel unit with a 7-G-TRONIC automatic-box.

“For discerning customers who want to show their passion for the sporty side of life wherever they go, the Sports package will definitely appeal to them,” says Eckart Mayer, Divisional Manager, Mercedes-Benz Cars.

“M-Class drivers spend a great deal of time in their vehicle because it compliments their lifestyle,” concludes Mayer.

The M-Class Sports package is priced at:

ML350 CDI + R35 000 (R670 000 = R705 000)

ML350 + R35 000 (R660 000 = R695 000)

ML500 + R25 000 (R765 000 = R790 000)

Exterior design

All-new front-end design with prominent horizontal lines
New radiator grille with three black louvres and chrome highlights (available in sterling silver look with chrome highlights and standard in the exterior sports package)
New-look projection-beam headlamps
New exterior mirrors with larger mirror surfaces
New rear bumper
Tail lights with darkened lenses (LED tail lights with clear-glass look as an option)
Twin exhaust system with oval tailpipes (rectangular chromed tailpipes in the exterior sports package as standard, standard for V8)
