The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive Could Arrive In Under 5 Years

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that they are indeed working on a SLS AMG with electric drive for 2015. The new reports around this are saying that the electric research is going well, and the model could arrive as soon as 2013.

The SLS AMG eDrive will use four-electric motors with a total power output of 392kW with 880Nm of torque. These motors will be connected to the wheels and then placed near the transmission.

This set up is expected to have a 0-100km/h time of about 4 seconds with a range of around 110miles.
