VW Releases The Final Edition New Beetle — Last Model Ever!
Special/Limited Editions | Dean | December 4, 2009 at 01:10Volkswagen has finally ended the production of the New Beetle. The 11 year production will soon enter the history books for automotive production as the last special edition will soon be created.
Dubbed the Final Edition, the New last Beetle will be available in a limited production of only 1,500 units. VW will create the car in both coupe and convertible forms, where each of these body styles will be built in the production of 1,500 units.
These models will receive a few minor upgrades over the standard model, and this include a new special Aquarius Blue paint with a black roof for the coupe. The convertible will have a Campanella White paint job with a white top.
Expect fog lights, a new sport suspension and 17-inch alloy wheels.
There will be a steering wheel, while the engine range will be a 1.5-litre five-cylinder unit with 150-horsepower. This motor will be connected to a six-speed transmission.
Pricing starts at $20,240 for the coupe, and $27,170 for the convertible.
