Will The Mazda RX-7 Revival Kill Off The Mazda RX-8?

Mazda might introduce a new two-seater RX-7 model by the end of 2011. The new 2012 model is still under progress, and it was rumoured that the Japanese automaker might cancel the RX-8 once the new RX-7 is released onto the market.

Despite the rumours revolving around a RX-8 cancellation, other speculation states that the company might in fact create a stronger, more powerful RX-8 model based on the Furai concept. The new RX-8 is expected to then pump out 300-horsepower.

Bad 2009 sales might see the company halt production for the RX-7 and RX-8 models.
