Buick’s Regal GS Won’t Feature 325-Horsepower — Don’t Expect A Coupe Or Sport Wagon Either

The Buick/GMC general manager, Brian Sweeney recently gave us a short little piece on what the company is planning for the Buick Regal.

One question revolved around whether or not there will be a coupe of sport wagon version of the Regal model.

“No, but we are looking at all the different possibilities for Regal based on what’s available on this global architecture and the success of other models in global markets such as Europe and China,” Sweeney said.

Further questions hovered around the GS model, where Sweeney said that “At 255hp with 0-60 in less than 6 seconds we think we’re in good shape if we bring this to production.” This means that there won’t be a 325-horsepower 2.8-litre turbocharged V6 engine similar to the one from the Opel Insignia OPC.
