Lutz Confirms The Cadillac Converj Concept — Expect To See Volt Technology
Hybrid/Electric, Miscellaneous | Dean | January 12, 2010 at 20:54Bob Lutz, that dude from General Motors has said that there will be a production version of the Cadillac Converj concept. Bob said that the Converj will only arrive around 2013 or 2014 where he then added, “You’ll see it when you see it. We have to slot it into the product lineup.”
Like a school child. You sir, will see it when you see it!
Anyway, we’ve heard that the Converj will be based on the Chevrolet Volt and it is likely to hold a 16kWh lithium ion batter which uses an electric motor with 120kW and 370Nm of torque. Following the electric motor will then be a 1.4-litre engine, for petrol power.
Lutz ended off by saying, “There are always these waves in the popular media and the public, and right now it’s teensy-weensy cars and electric vehicles. And I’m all for it because we’re going to have those, and I hope people buy a lot of them so we can make some money.”
