NISMO’s 2010 Nissan GT-R FIA GT1 Racer — Photos & Some Details
Miscellaneous, Special/Limited Editions | Dean | January 18, 2010 at 21:29The NISMO brand, Nissan’s International tuning firm, has announced that they are signing deals with the FIA GT1 World Championship series where the R35 GT-R will compete, for the 2010 season. The R35 GT-R will be raced by the Sumo Power GT team from the UK, and also the Swiss Racing Team.
More details regarding driver and team line ups will emerge deeper into the year.
At the moment the GT-R GT1 racer will boast a rear-wheel-layout with a 5.6-litre VK56DE V8 engine pumping out 600-horsepower with 650Nm of torque. There will be a 6-speed transmission unit and a triple plate clutch. Expect to see 18 inch x 13 inch wheels connecting to the track.

NISSAN GT-R PARTICIPATES IN THE 2010 FIA GT1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Minami-Ooi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuichi Sanada; henceforth “NISMO”) announced that NISMO just signed the official partnership agreements for the FIA GT1 World Championship with Sumo Power GT (UK) and Swiss Racing Team (CH). Both teams will run two NISSAN GT-Rs respectively in the inaugural World Championship. NISMO will provide technical support to its new racing partners.
Other details including driver line-up will be announced at the later date.
