Yesterday we brought you Day One at the Franschhoek Motor Museum Time Trials & Concours, where Day Two is now over. Once again, we’ve snapped about 200 images — all of which include awesome cars!

Earlier today was the Concours event where a panel of judges were voting on the cars. Unfortunately, we do not have the results of this yet, but we’ll get them to you as soon as we know.

We suggest that you read yesterdays article to understand the event, as we’re going to get straight into this. We also took photos of the inside of the museum yesterday, where today we decided to obviously skip this step, as there were more important things to attend to.

The Concours show: Held exclusively on the other side of the track. You’d need to take a Porsche shuttle to get there. We were lucky enough to catch one of the last shuttles to snap images, else we would have had to walk. Far. Very far.

The Concours Cars included the BMW M1, Ferrari Dino, Aston Martin DBR, Chevrolet Camaro SS, Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, Toyota 2000GT — to name a few. There were many other keepers on site, and you’d have to check the massive gallery below.

Today’s surprises: Yesterday I commented that there were no Lamborghini’s on site. Today, while lurking around the parking lot we found a Countach. Yup, a Lamborghini Countach in white, just sitting there. Naturally, we took pictures as this was literally the only Lambo at the show.

Following this surprise comes my ride in the McLaren F1. It’s true! I was allowed to drive along side race-drive Sarel van der Merwe in a McLaren F1. The record for the day was said to be about 1 minute 58 seconds, where Sarel ran a 2 minutes flat, with two passengers in the supercar. Apparently this was the record for the track, for a car running with passengers inside.

Two really, really good surprises.

Following this comes the Concours show images. We’ve added the parade line up, as well as the cars parked at the Concours show area into merged galleries. The large gallery will have a lot of cars all mixed up, while we’ve labeled a few of our favourites into separate galleries.
