To celebrate the Mazda MX-5’s 20th birthday, the Japanese automaker will create a special anniversary edition of the rear wheel sports roadster for the Geneva Motor Show which starts in March. The MX-5 20th Anniversary Edition will have a limited production run of only 2,000 units.

There will be a 1.8-litre engine with new exterior styling which includes a chrome grille, door handles and headlights fascia. There will be new fog lamps and a set of 17-inch wheels.

Expect to find three colours, True Red, Crystal White Pearl and, specific for this edition, a new Aurora Blue.

There will be a scuff plate in stainless steel and this will hold the unique serial number for the car.
