BMW Planning To Introduce An Entry-Level Front-Wheel-Drive Vehicle

BMW are planning to introduce a new front-wheel-drive entry-level model which should be positioned below the 1-Series model. The top-dog from BMW, Norbert Reithofer said that this model will be developed to increase parts sharing between the BMW and Mini brand.

The new vehicle will allow the company to make a few extra bucks as the economic turn-down has lead towards smaller, more premium compact vehicles.

“We will be extending the BMW and Mini brands into the small car segment with new models and variants,” said Reithofer.
