Bufori’s New Geneva Luxury Saloon — Revealed At The Show It’s Named After

Bufori has released the first images of their new Geneva luxury saloon. Yeah, that’s right, the new model is officially called the “Geneva”.

“We have decided to name this new Bufori model after the city it was launched in, as this occasion marks an important milestone in our company history. We also wanted to pay tribute to the 80th edition of this fantastic motor show and the beautiful city of Geneva,” says Chairman and Co-Founder, Anthony Khouri.

There will be a combination of technology, and style. The interior will boast wood and leather veneers, followed by rear-hinged coach doors. The rear seats will be lounge styled, and the standard configuration allows for picnic tables.

The rear console will have a tea set which allows you to instantly boil water. This will be followed by an Espresso coffee maker, or an ice box. Amazing, hey?

Touchscreen monitors will be available, along with high-definition surround sound.

Felix Haller, General Manager – Marketing & International Business Development of BUFORI, said “Our aim is to offer a genuine alternative to the luxury saloon segment, and at a global level. We have created something truly unique that epitomises the BUFORI DNA; An ageless contemporary classic styling, quality and attention to detail, traditional craftsmanship and endless customisation possibilities. The BUFORI Geneva is targeted at individuals who are passionate about automotive design and technology and are unable to identify themselves with a bland mass-produced luxury car. ”

Bufori has made the body out of Hybrid Carbon Fibre and Kevlar which is infused with Vinylester resin. It’s said to be stronger than steel, but very lightweight as well.

Power will come from a 6.1-litre V8 engine, and this will be good for 430-horsepower with 569Nm of torque. The power will go to the rear wheels through an adaptive transmission unit. The 0-100km/h time is 6 seconds, and the top speed is estimated at over 260km/h.

An optional supercharger will boost power to 560-horsepower and torque all the way up to 690Nm of torque. This will drop the 0-100km/h time to 5.4 seconds.

Equipment includes Anti Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Traction Control, Steering Angle Control and Adaptive Cruise Control. There will be an optional Thermal Imaging Night Vision camera, Lane Departure Warning systems, and camera integrated around the car.

The Heads-Up Display will make sure that the driver is in control of the speeds.

Each Bufori Geneva model will be tailor made, and it will be personalized for its owner. There will be loads of interior materials to choose from, as well as different types of personalization items.

Production starts in June, 2010. Check it out at the Geneva Show.
