GMC Adds A New 6.6-Litre V8 Engine To Their Sierra HD Pick Up Truck

General Motors has revealed details on their brand new 2011 GMC Sierra Heavy-Duty pick-up which will go on sale later this summer. There will be a 6.6-litre Duramax turbo diesel engine, along with a new suspension system and new brakes.

The engine will boast 397-horsepower with 1,037Nm of torque. There are currently no fuel figures, however we do know that the diesel engine will boast an 18.8 mpg rating.

Expect to find six-speed automatic transmission units for the V8 petrol engine.

New features include a four-bar chrome grille with round air inlets, body coloured bumpers, new chrome door handles, chrome accents and finally 18 to 20-inch wheels.

Inside will boast aluminium trim, power-adjustable seats, a new Bose premium sound system and a new steering wheel.
