It’s been reported that Daimler executives are planning to kill off the Maybach brand. The brand was purchased in 1960 where it was restarted as an automotive brand during the year of 2002.

Maybach is, and soon to be was, a premium automaker which used large engines to propel their super-luxurious limousines. Unfortunately, the Maybach brand has seen a rapid decline in sales since 2007, and this was made a lot worse during the economic turndown.

There will however be one last Maybach model. The new model will only boast a facelift, and no new engines. The redesigned includes new LED daytime lights, a new grille, a new bumper and a new hood.
