Pictures of a Fiesta hot-hatch? Definitely seems to be the case as WorldCarFans has announced that their spies have caught a European-spec Ford Fiesta in Michigan.

The North American market is expected to receive a upgraded model with more performance, and this should arrive sometime next year. The images seem to tease something in testing, and WCF seems to think that this is the real deal ST turbo.

There is a Titanium trim level as well as Ford’s direct-injection EcoBoost engine which should push out more power than the previous generation 2.0-litre naturally aspirated unit. It’s expected that the EcoBoost engine used here is in fact a 1.6-litre turbo, or maybe even a 2.0-litre turbo unit.

If it is a 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine, we can expect the overall power to be set at about 125kW while the 2.0-litre will push out 170kW.

How do we know that this is in fact turbocharged? Well, the images reveal an intercooler, followed by sporty body panels such as a new lower bumper grille, rear diffuser and a double exhaust pipes. Even Ford are trying to keep their test models looking good as they added a set of 17-inch Speedline wheels.

Last thoughts could suggest that this is a hot-hatch for the SEMA tuning show.. But we sure hope it’s real.
