The Ford Focus RS500 Has Been Revealed!

Ford has revealed their new RS500 which will be a limited production hot hatch with a 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine. The power will amount to 257kW with 460Nm of torque, and this means a 15% power increase followed by a 4.5% torque increase.

The company has improved the 0-100km/h time to 5.6 seconds, and this is about 0.3 seconds faster than the standard green or blue painted RS.

Ford has adjusted the top speed to 265km/h, and the improvements are available through a new ECU, a new intercooler and a figger air filter.

Each RS500 will boast a matte black exterior paintjob, a set of 19-inch wheels, red brake calipers and the usual RS upgrades. Inside of the hot hatch there will be a new console-mounted metal plate engraved with the car’s ID number.

You’ll be racing around in Recaro leather seats while being cooled off by dual-zone climate control. Connect your phone to Bluetooth, or listen to one of six CD’s in the CD-changer.

A limited production run of 500 units will mean that you have to fast to order, else you might miss you.

The official debut will take place on the 9th of April.
