The Lexus LFA Will Race In May’s Nurburgring Challenge For The First Time

Lexus are planning to move back in time with a return to the Nurburgring challenge for May. They will use their LF-A supercar to compete in the 24 hour event, and this will be the first time the that the production LF-A is seen in a full-on competition.

The previous times that Lexus raced the LF-A was purely for testing, and the Japanese automaker wanted to hone the supercars performance and handling.

There will be a lightweight composite construction for the racer, where the power will be 411kW. The mid mount engine will allow for a 0-100km/h time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of about 300km/h.

Gazoo Racing will prepare the vehicle for the event which takes place on the 13th of May.
