It has been announced that both the 2012 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2013 Alfa Romeo Spider will be built on Chrysler platforms. This means that the two models will finally benefit from the recent Chrysler deal.

Both of these models are expected to house a rear-wheel-drive layout, and this could mean that they will use the Chrysler LX platform. Chrysler currently uses the LX platform for the 300 sedan, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum.

Alfa Romeo will find its way back to the US market with the Giulietta.
