Fiat’s Big-Chief Steps Down: Luca di Montezemolo Will Only Run Ferrari

Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Ferrari’s boss, has said that the will resign as chairman of Fiat. Fiat did not comment on why he was leaving, however the decision comes before the 2010-2014 business plan.

It has been hinted that Fiat’s vice chair person, John Elkann will take the role as top-dog. Elkann is currently the chairman of Exor S.p.A, a holding company which owns 30 percent of Fiat.

Despite the drop from Fiat, Luca will stay on-board as big-chief for Ferrari.
