Ford Are Planning A Profit For Q1 Of 2010

Analysts have hinted that Ford are planning about $1billion of income for the first quarter of 2010. FoMoCo will reveal the official results tomorrow, followed by all kinds of figures from the company. These figures include write-off costs, restructuring costs and even the costs of unsold vehicles.

Special charges, as listed above, will amount to $362 million. This figure would be one of the larger numbers behind 2009’s Q1 loss.

“We’re expecting continued strong North American, European and South American performance,” one Barclays Capital analyst said. “The real question is how strong?”

Well, Ford’s Fiesta being the number one selling car in Europe should help overall figures into the positive.
