New York 2010 — The Scion iQ For 2011

Toyota’s American counter-part, Scion has revealed a brand new iQ mini-car. The new model is on show at the New York event which is currently running.

The new Scion iQ will boast dark head- and tail-lamps, followed by a new front bumper with modified upper and lower grilles. There will be an overall length of only 120.1-inches, and this is about 30-inches shorter than the current Toyota Yaris model.

The Scion iQ will have a 1.3-litre four-cylinder engine with 90-horsepower, and this will boast Continuously Variable Transmission technology. Toyota has said that the fuel consumption is expected to be in the high 30 miles per gallon.

There will be 10 SRS airbags, six speakers and USB connectivity. The safety features include Vehicle Stability Control, ABS, EBD, Traction Control and Brake Assist.
