2013 Range Rover Sport Range_e — Now In Diesel Hybrid Form

Range Rover will introduce their first ever diesel-electric hybrid in 2013. It will be called the Range_e and there will be a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine connected to a 25kW electric motor. The gearbox will be an automatic eight-speed ZF transmission.

Other details are currently unknown, however it’s something completely new for the brand. In fact, it’s just as new as Land Rover’s idea for front-wheel-drive.

The future will see both diesel- and petrol-hybrid Range Rovers.
