Opel Calbira Coupe Has Been Rumoured For 2013

Rumours regarding the Opel Calibra II or GTC Concept has once again surfaced online. The reports from CarMagazine state that the four-seater coupe is under construction where it could go on sale by 2013. The production model will be similar to the Opel Insignia sold in Europe.

General Motors has said that they would need to build around 30,000 units a year to make profit from the successor. 30,000 units is a lot, and to reach this figure the firm has exchanged ideas with Buick to achieve their goal.

“We would feel a lot more confident about some of these projects if Buick, Chevrolet in North and South America and Saab were sharing volumes and risk,” said an unnamed GM Europe source.
