Renault’s Clio Clean Diesel dCi Is Too Clean For South Africa

South Africa will not be able to benefit from Renault’s greenest car yet. The green Clio will not reach the country as our cleanest diesel fuel is about 50 parts per million of sulphur too dirty for the engine. Renault’s Clio dCi 86 eco will be available in Europe in different body styles.

Unfortunately the local market will not be able to benefit from the 3.46-litre per 100km fuel consumption, nor will locals be able to save on emission costs as the Clio only emits 98g/km of CO2.
