BMW Confirms The M 1-Series Coupe

There have been loads of rumours regarding a M-badged 1-Series BMW. There have been loads of spy videos, and spy shots of the possible M-badged 1-Series BMW. But now, for the first time, we’ve heard official word that the BMW 1-Series M is on its way.

During an interview BMW M GmbH’s Managing Director Dr. Kay Segler said that there will indeed be an M-powered 1-Series Coupe.

No details were shared, however the man from BMW did say that the model will not carry the M1 badge, as this is reserved for the original model. Following that, the M rated 1-Series will go on sale next year in a limited production run.
