German Government Not Interested In Funding Opel

After about a year of talking, the German government has decided that they will not offer Opel funding. The General Motors owned brand will need to find funding through banks such as the European Investment Bank.

The German government denied funding by saying that GM does not qualify for government money as the brand had problems through product failure and not through the financial crisis. While the government blames product error, many are speculating that there is a government debt crisis in Europe.

General Motors need 1.1billion euros in funding.
