Toyota Corolla Receives A Facelift

Toyota has facelifted their popular Corolla model where it now emphasises the brands ‘low and wide’ design. The updated Corolla will boast a new headlamp design which is thinner and sharper, a new bumper which houses a new grille and fog lights and various chrome inserts, new alloy wheels, and new side mirrors with integrated turn signals. The rear end will include wider lamps, chrome detailing and a sporty bumper with integrated reflectors.

Toyota’s new Corolla will be available with the following exterior colours: Golden Gleam Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Graphite Grey Metallic.

Inside the changed-up Corolla, there’s a new steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth connectivity buttons, new instruments and new lighting.

The facelifted Corolla will come in four different packages, Impact, Professional, Advanced and Exclusive. All of these packages will include different equipment, however the standard features include iPod connectivity, air-conditioning, USB/MP3 connectivity, airbags, ABS, EBD, and electric front windows.

Engine-wise there will be three petrol and one diesel unit available. The 1.3-litre four-cylinder petrol with 74kW and 132Nm of torque, the 1.6-litre 16-valve petrol with 90kW and 154Nm of torque, and the 2.0-litre range-topper with 102kW and 189Nm of torque. The diesel engine is a 2.0-litre D-4D Optimal Drive unit with 93kW and 300Nm of torque.

These engines can be connected to a manual and automatic gearbox.
