A report from AutoCar has said that the Porsche Boxster will grow in size for 2012 as the company is planning a new, smaller, entry-level vehicle based on the VW BlueSport Concept. The Boxster will grow to around 4.4-meters long where it will house a larger wheelbase.

The Boxster will keep its two seater layout, however the will be more space inside for passengers and luggage.

Porsche chief Matthias Muller said that the entry-level Porsche will be ready by 2012, the same year which Porsche will release the larger Boxster model.

Following the Porsche variant of the BlueSport, VW could create a SEAT or Audi version of the Concept as well.
