Ford Focus Sedan & Hatchback Enhanced For South Africa [Large Image Gallery Included]

Ford has tweaked their Focus line-up for the South African market. We’ve attached the price list as of September 3, 2010 as well as a lot of images below the price list.

• 1.8 Ambiente four-door and five-door

This model boasts a 1.8-litre Duratec motor with 92kW and 166Nm of torque when connected to a five-speed manual transmission. The entry-level model includes power steering, remote central locking, air-conditioning, Radio/CD/MP3 front loader with four speakers, auxiliary jack and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Safety features for each of these models will include ABS braking, Electronic Brake-force Distribution and airbags. The wheels come in a standard size of 15-inches, and they are cast from steel.

• 2.0 Trend four-door manual and automatic

This model uses a 2.0-litre Duratec motor with 107kW and 185Nm of torque. It’ll come standard with a five-speed manual box, however a four-speed automatic is optional. There will be 16-inch alloy wheels, Emergency Brake Assist, power adjustable mirrors, power windows, and front and rear fog lamps — over and above the basic features from the 1.8 Ambiente.

• 1.8 Si five-door

Ford’s 1.8-litre Si will only be available in the hatchback bodystyle. This model offers a few features over the 2.0 Tend. Starting with the wheels, there will be 17-inch alloys, six-airbags, a Radio/CD/MP3 front-loader connected to eight-speakers, Bluetooth voice control, audio controls on the three spoke steering wheel, a leather gear knob and external temperature gauges.

• 2.0 Si five-door

The 2.0-litre TDCi will offer 100kW with 320Nm of torque. There is a six-speed manual gearbox for the five-door model only, where Ford’s PowerShift six-speed double-clutch automatic gearbox will be available in the sedan. Features include Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control/Programme, Radio/CD/Mp3 front loader with eight-speakers, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB/iPod connectivity.
