Alan Mulally, the CEO of Ford, has said that he would like to see the brand’s product line-up consisting of only 20 different vehicles. Mulally said that the line-up should vary between 20 and 25 different nameplates.

“There will be less than 30, on our way to 20 to 25.” said Ford CEO, Alan Mulally.

Furthermore, Mulally would like to see fewer brands under Ford thus allowing for better quality and improved engineering.

The start of the project sees the Ford Fiesta being available on a global scale with similar parts.
