Holden has created a Special Vehicles division which deals with high-performance models. It’s called HSV and it will offer treatment to cars which need to go faster.

One of the first models to receive HSV treatment is the Holden Grange, a model based on the Commodore’s long-wheelbase platform. The Holden WM3 Grange will offer luxury with speed, and safety.

HSV’s managing director Phil Harding says, “The Grange buyer traditionally wants the most luxurious, and technologically advanced Australian-made performance car there is. Grange has always fitted that description well, but the new styling, increased power and extra technology makes WM3 a compelling proposition for a luxury car buyer that is passionate about driving.”

Power comes from a 325kW 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine with 550Nm of torque. There’s a new exhaust system with bi-modal rear mufflers which offers tones. Following this, the motor will be able to run on liquid propane or petrol.

Looks-wise the Grange will offer a new front and rear fascia, daytime running lights and new exhausts. The inside will boast leather in Onyx Black or Light Urban.
