Porsche Planning To Return To The Detroit Motor Show After 3 Years Of No-Show

Porsche will, apparently, return to the Detroit Motor Show after pulling out prior to 2008 because of financial reasons. The 2011 year will be Porsche’s first appearance in over three years and it was said that they might partner up with Volkswagen for shared space.

While the Detroit Show spokesman could confirm Porsche’s appearance, neither VW nor Porsche were interested in commenting on this.

It is expected that the 2011 Detroit Show will include the reveal of the 304kW Porsche Carrera GTS, a model which boasts a 3.8-litre straight-six engine.
