Renault Kangoo Z.E. — Electric Panel Van

Renault has used the Commercial Vehicle show in Hanover, Germany to reveal their brand new Kangoo Express Z.E. Essentially the Kangoo Express Z.E. is an all-electric panel van which offers companies the ability to travel around using greener technology.

Power for the Kangoo Z.E. comes from a 22kWh lithium-ion battery pack which powers a 44kW electric motor with 226Nm of torque. There’s a driving range of 160km before the vehicle needs charging, and charging will cost around €1 or €2, depending on the price of electricity.

Best of all, there will be the same 650 kilogram pay load, similar to the internal combustion model.

The electric Kangoo boasts a tax saving of about €5,000 in certain countries, and this essentially knocks the €20,000 tag down to about €15,000.
